Lodging in Talkeetna Alaska - Log Cabin and Bed & Breakfast Accommodations

At Meandering Moose Lodging we focus on offering clean, comfortable casual accommodations on a property nestled in a grove of birch and pine trees, secluded for privacy, but close to downtown Talkeetna activities (approx 1 1/2  miles). Click here for driving directions.

Located on main floor with a shared bath right across the hall. Room is cozy in size but big on comfort for that relaxing comfortable night sleep. Features a Queen bed with a tempur-pedic Swedish adjustable mattress, raise the head for reading, or raise the foot for resting those tired legs. Shared Bath. The Fish Camp Cabin features include: Don't let the name fool you,  this cabin offers all of  the comforts of home. This cabin features: Full size living room, dining area, fully equipped kitchen and bath, upstairs loft separated for two bedrooms.  All your bedding linens and towels and dishes are supplied.  The sleeping quarters in the loft area are seperated into two areas (only one side shown in photo) One side has queen bed and  two twin beds.  2nd room has double bed and two twin beds.

The living room can accommodate more sleeping arrangements with a futon that makes into a double bed and a small couch that makes into a single bed.  Of course even with a roomy cabin such as this, you will want to take advantage of our outdoor picnic area for those long Alaska evenings around the campfire.

This handcrafted cabin is full of artistic touches that you will remember for years to come.

This cabin features: kitchenette including refrig, microwave, coffee maker, dishes and utensils.  The main floor has a high quality super comfy queen bed , private bathroom, monitor heating.  You will love the workmanship of the handmade table,  stools and cabinet.

Need more sleeping arrangements for those older kids or additional guests.  This cabin features an addition loft sleeping area which has ladder access and low ceilings, but ready for those tired from their Alaska adventures to cozy in for the night on two double beds.

Enjoy sitting on the porch, enjoy the outdoor area with firepit or snuggle in for the night in the “Cozy Bear” cabin.

This cabin features: fully equipped kitchen including stove, refrig, microwave, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes and utensils.  You will enjoy the quality linens and quality pillow-top queen bed , private bathroom with plenty of hot water, comfortable heat from a toyo stove.  

Need more sleeping arrangements for those older kids or additional guests.  This cabin features an addition loft sleeping area which is accessed via a drop down ladder access, which is hidden in the ceiling when not in use and easily pulled down when needed for access.  Note this is a sleeping loft with low ceilings, not the standard walk around room, but ready for those tired from their Alaska adventures to cozy in for the night on the airbeds.

• We are only a little over a mile from "downtown" Talkeetna
• From Parks Highway take Talkeetna Spur. 
• Just before getting into downtown Talkeetna there will be a road on right that crosses the railroad tracks to the airport & K2 Aviation. This is 2nd Street Right.
• Right on 2nd.
• Left on F Street (first street). Take F Street to Beaver Road. You will pass Swiss Chalet and the Campground entrance; continue on to the next right which is Beaver Road. 
• Right on Beaver Road - 8/10ths of mile. 
• Left on Cabin Spike - veer to the left. Follow to end of road, with a little veer to the right after cabins to the office and the B&B in the large two story log cabin at the very end of the road.
